The Lean-To is complete and has been ALPACA approved! The ‘girls’ adjusted quickly to their new home. They were very happy to stay warm and dry during the heavy rains last week. So what’s next? The floor needs to be poured in the main barn and the other Lean-To will need to be erected. There are few cosmetic details and some batts for the interior walls. It’s A BOY!!! Jett surprised us by coming into the world early this afternoon. My father-in-law happened to be visiting the animals when he noticed the girls huddling together in the back field. It was then that he realized we had a new baby. He contacted us and kept watch to be sure the baby was safe. By the time Dave and I got home, little Jett was walking and nursing comfortably.

I dried him completely and put a blanket on him to keep him warm. He is a gorgeous, deep velvet black color. He weighed in at 13.5 lbs. Bot mom and baby are doing fine.
